Meet Dr. Williams
Bart D. Williams III, M.D., D.M.D., FACS
Dr. Williams is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed both his medical degree and dental degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he finished a rigorous residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. This dual-degree program included medical and dental school, a general surgery internship, and four additional years of hospital-based surgical training.
In 1999, Dr. Williams moved to Greenville, SC, where he founded Carolina Oral & Facial Surgery, PA. In 2000, the Brevard, North Carolina office was established. Since then, he has been dedicated to clinical excellence and providing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including bone grafting and implant reconstruction, cleft lip and palate surgery, orthognathic surgery, oral pathology, wisdom teeth extractions and other oral surgery procedures in both Greenville and Brevard, NC offices.
Dr. Williams currently serves as Medical Director of the Prisma Health Greenville Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic, located at the Center for Developmental Services (CDS). Passionate about education, Dr. Williams frequently lectures and mentors aspiring medical and dental professionals. His commitment to service extends to the Greenville Free Medical Clinic and globally, with mission work in dental and cleft surgical trips to Honduras, Juárez, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Quito, Ecuador.
Dr. Williams is credentialed at Prisma Health System, Bon Secours Health System, and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare, and currently serves as Chair of the Oral Surgery Department at Prisma Health. Outside of his practice, Dr. Williams enjoys time outdoors—whether cycling, sport clay shooting, traveling or spending time with his family. He and his wife, Suszanne, are proud parents of three children.
